Ford Alexandria Plant, Virginia

This plant was built in 1932 and designed by Albert Kahn. It was demolished sometime between 1988 and 1991. I have not found information on when the plant closed. Although this plant was only used for service and parts distribution, it's waterfront location and year of construction may suggest it was intended to be a branch assembly plant as discussed here.

The building was constructed of concrete, had two stories with 8 bays on the main building and 20 bays on the annex. It was the only structure in Virginia designed by Albert Kahn. The main structure had a 3 story tower at its center.
